Busy, busy ,busy.....

Its been a bit manic here at TRC HQ

Its been a bit manic here at TRC HQ !!

Firstly been very busy preparing for the wedding of the gorgeous Emma and Sam, taking place next month, lots to get ready, the venue is in a beautiful village hall in the Ribble Valley and the guests will walk from the local village inn down the hill and over the little stone bridge to the hall......its just too gorgeous for words!!

Not giving anything away about the wedding but ......suffice to say....I will be buying the boxes of tissues in bulk !!!!

Also took a booking from another lovely couple for later in the year and it turns out that I know the extended family !! small world !!

Lots of enquiries following that most romantic of days, February 14th....Think 2018 will be a busy year for TRC !!

Another exciting development has been my journey into the world of broadcasting, not exactly my first time with radio as I used to work for a radio station in my dim and distant past, but so proud to have been interviewed by the enchanting Gilly on BBC Radio Lancashire!!

He was really interested in my work and how The Rivington Celebrant came about and the time sped past...it was like chatting to a good friend, no nerves at all, and I think I explained the role of a celebrant very clearly.

No sooner had I stepped out of the studio and turned on the trusty mobile, it rang with an enquiry.....hows that for generating publicity !!!

I was called again by the BBC to join in on Valentines Day at an OB in Lancaster (see...got the lingo now...Outside Broadcast) but due to having my poorly broken arm in a sling I was unable to accept their offer but have accepted their offer to go and review the papers on the Breakfast Show.....so more to come of The Rivington Celebrant on the BBC !!!

Now...the big news is that I shall be working with Gisburne Park Weddings. I am thrilled about this, not only because it is the most stunning location for weddings but the 3 day package is fantastic.

Hidden within 1,000 acres of private and historic Ribble Valley countryside, Couples will have exclusive use of the following for 3 days;

  • 10 acres of land with cliffs, bridges and river.
  • A stunning 3-bedroom house with impressive Bridal Suite overlooking the river.
  • 150-person elegant garden marquee.

Working with our carefully selected partners they will only be allowing a limited number of weddings to take place in this private setting. Their weddings are bespoke and tailored to your needs, I feel it is very important for you to be able to choose exactly what you like for your special day, to ensure it is the day of your dreams.

We would be delighted to welcome you to Gisburne Park Estate to show you around our breath-taking venue and discuss your wonderful plans. Please note, viewings are strictly by appointment only to ensure the privacy of our couples during their wedding day.

The venue is overseen by the Director of Weddings, Sarah, whom I had the pleasure to be shown around the estate by, It really is amazing and I am convinced will be a complete success.

so , apart from booking some beautiful weddings in for 2017, agreeing to work with Gisburne Park as their Celebrant, becoming the " Celebrity Celebrant " on  BBC Radio and undergoing surgery on my shoulder, I think this month so far has been quite interesting..

Keep following the blog, I have lots more to tell you, but for now,

Much Love
